Se destac\u00f3 adem\u00e1s su contribuci\u00f3n de calidad de mejor sociedad cient\u00edfica Zona B de la Federaci\u00f3n Latinoamericana de Sociedades Cient\u00edficas, promoviendo una cultura de ciencia e investigaci\u00f3n, a trav\u00e9s de la educaci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica continua y la formaci\u00f3n integral. El congreso se llev\u00f3 a cabo en Cusco, Per\u00fa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFue una gran sorpresa porque nuestra sociedad es bastante joven, reci\u00e9n vamos a cumplir un a\u00f1o de fundaci\u00f3n. El a\u00f1o pasado s\u00f3lo fuimos seis personas, este a\u00f1o fuimos 18. Otras sociedades trabajan m\u00e1s tiempo y tienen m\u00e1s publicaciones cient\u00edficas o hacen m\u00e1s actividades que nosotros inclusive\u201d, se\u00f1ala Carlos Orozco, presidente de la SCECSUFT.<\/p>\n<p>Orosco explica que para federarse les piden como requisito un trabajo cient\u00edfico. Este a\u00f1o lo realizaron Alfonso Javier Rodr\u00edguez, m\u00e9dico e investigador senior, quien fue investido el pasado mes como Dr. Honoris Causa por la Unifranz.
